Around 100,000 people met in the center of London to express their support for Palestine and they wanted an end to Israel’s continuous bombing of Gaza.

(Sekitar 100.000 orang berkumpul di pusat kota London untuk menunjukkan dukungan mereka terhadap Palestina dan menginginkan diakhirinya pemboman terus menerus yang dilakukan Israel terhadap Gaza.)

The protest took place after a recent surprise attack by Hamas and the response from Israel. Protesters held signs with messages like ‘Freedom for Palestine’ and ‘Stop bombing Gaza’.  Protesters walked through central London, but most of the crowd left three hours later. Police arrested ten people during the protest.

(Aksi protes ini terjadi setelah serangan mendadak yang dilakukan oleh Hamas baru-baru ini dan respon Israel. Para pengunjuk rasa membawa spanduk bertuliskan pesan-pesan seperti ‘Kebebasan untuk Palestina’ dan ‘Hentikan pengeboman Gaza’.  Para pengunjuk rasa berjalan melewati pusat kota London, namun sebagian besar massa meninggalkan lokasi tiga jam kemudian. Polisi menahan sepuluh orang dalam aksi protes tersebut.)

The protest happened at the same time when officials opened the Rafah border crossing, which allowed humanitarian aid to enter Gaza. But many people are still suffering and they need more help to come.

(Aksi protes ini terjadi bersamaan dengan dibukanya penyeberangan perbatasan Rafah, yang memungkinkan bantuan kemanusiaan masuk ke Gaza. Namun, masih banyak orang yang menderita dan mereka membutuhkan lebih banyak bantuan.)
