German magazine Die Aktuelle apologized to Michael Schumacher’s family and fired the editor who published an AI-generated ‘interview’ with the seven-time F1 world champion.

(Majalah Jerman Die Aktuelle meminta maaf kepada keluarga Michael Schumacher dan memecat editor yang menerbitkan ‘wawancara’ buatan AI dengan juara dunia F1 tujuh kali itu.)

In 2013, Schumacher sustained a severe brain injury in a skiing accident and he didn’t appear in public since that time. His family plans to take legal action against the magazine. According to the media group which owns the magazine, the article was tasteless and misleading and did not respect its journalistic standards. The magazine’s front cover showed a picture of Schumacher smiling, with the headline ‘Michael Schumacher, the first interview’.
